Numbers on Camino Finistere

Hi everyone. I am currently doing the walk from Sarria starting today with son and daughter in law but I was thinking of extending my time with Camino Finistere. They will not be able to join me for that . How are the numbers on that section? I enjoy quiet walking but for safety I would like there to be reasonable numbers doing it. I would love to be able to not be concerned but unfortunately my decision will be influenced by numbers. Thank you so much for sharing.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I don’t have statistics at hand but there will be plenty of people walking to Finisterre. It’s definitely not a solitary route so you don’t need to be concerned about there not being any other pilgrims around.

I live in Muxia and walked to Finisterre last week. Several albergue owners tell me it’s still pretty quiet with beds but you will run into other pilgrims, though alot less than the Sarria to Santiago stretch.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Thank you for your thoughts. Sounds like a decent number will be doing it but of course much fewer than from Sarria. I will make my mind up soon.😊

We have just returned from doing the walk to Finisterre - it’s beautiful, it’s quiet but there is a steady stream of pilgrims. Really enjoyed it.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Don't be afraid to do it even if you don't think there are that many people. I did it last year during COVID - most people bussed. Very few people on the Finisterre/Muxia routes when I walked. And it was WONDERFUL! Especially after the very crowded Sarria to Santiago (did NOT like that section one bit). It felt very safe. It was a wonderful end to my Camino. Plenty of beauty and time for reflection.

It does sound lovely. Thanks for the encouragement.

I walked this route from 4th to the 11th of May and although not overly busy there were plenty of other pilgrims walking. A beautiful route and highly recommended. We had perfect weather so somewhat spoiled.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Just finished walking it yesterday there is a steady stream of pilgrims but not over the top (approx20-30)
Enough to keep you company but also plenty of time for your own space

I live in Muxia
So that's where you've landed!
Next time I'm in Muxía I'll look you up, though you'll probably be off on one Camino or another. 😀

Walking to the coast is a nice way to end your Camino after the hustle and bustle of Santiago.

My husband and I would like to spend a night in Muxia after walking to Santiago but don’t have time to walk there. Rome to Rio says there’s busses twice daily, but if you go to the Monbus website...
