Hello, Just now reviewing my plans for SS connecting to Primitivo in September. I assume the muni in La Robla is now open? Can someone please confirm? Calling 2 days prior is enough notice? Any favorite places to eat in La Robla?

Not just la Robla is closed. As of today, the albergues in La Robla, Buiza, and Pola de Lena are still closed.

The public albergues of Cabanillas, Poladura, Pajares, and Mieres (in a university dorm while a purpose-built albergue is finished) are open. As others have noted, Gronze is up to date, and the Salvador facebook page will also have updates.

By complete fluke, we ate at La Bogadera and there was a lot of pilgrim paraphernalia on the walls! So if you want to feel some camino spirit, it’s a good choice. I just had salad and patatas bravas so I don’t know how good the menu is.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Thank you. How was your way?? I'm excited for a month today but also slightly anxious 😟
It was really good. It is disappointing to see that some municipal albergues have no visible opening date, and simultaneously reassuring that another has finally installed heating.

And it is as beautiful as ever.

Thank you. Its my first time doing this route and look forward to Its solitude and beauty.

I’ve just finished the route and the update will be available this upcoming week.
Brilliant! Looking forward to that. Could you also make a note re dog friendly places please? We’ve got our routes/accommodation sorted, I think. But always useful to know more! Thank you 🙏🏻

We are planning to go end of September, after the Logroño festival 🤪

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Update, but not great news for those walking the Salvador soon. La Robla has put out a request for bids for people to run the albergue. Based on what I read, it looks like the terms would be that the licensee would have a 300€ charge. Not sure if utilities are included or if there are other expenses. The bidding period extends for 10 days, so let’s see if someone is interested.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
