Can anyone estimate the cost of mailing a package to Santiago from within Spain, say about 10 kgs. Trying to estimate the full cost of shipping my second bag ahead (for my travel before & after the camino)

Check out Correos. In particular their
Paq Peregrino service. They cover Spain. Use the info in their link to ask them any questions. They will respond quickly.

As @mspath said, Correos has information including prices for sending luggage to be held at their office in Santiago under their Paq Peregrino program here.
I believe that the pricing is different if you are sending to an address, and not to a Correos office.
In 2018 I mailed a 12 kilo suitcase from Irun to Casa Ivar in Santiago for €22.45.

Express Bourricot writes:
If you have a second suitcase, backpack, a bike box, or some stuff that you won’t need during your walk from St Jean Pied De Port to Santiago? Give them to us and you will find them after 800 kms! We will take them for you to Santiago de Compostella.

They say 70€ including unlimited storage, easy pickup at hotel and 15% discount at the hotel. Details here:

I've used Express Bourricot twice to send a suitcase to Santiago from SJPDP, and think that it's a great service when sending a suitcase from SJPDP, but @JoJoJo asked about shipping a suitcase within Spain.

I realized that but thought that @JoJoJo's wording might have been generalized. After all we have many times cautioned against posting across borders. Secondly, the thread title might attract future members that might leave from SJPdP.

And since I'm back let me add that I haven't used Bourricot for anything but I haven't read anything bad about them on the forum. Their price is higher than what correos charges but it can be worth it. I used correos and had a miserable time when trying to contact them that I would be late in the pickup. I had to stop in at several offices along the way to contact the Santiago office. I haven't found any other post office where English was spoken (fortunately my bit of Spanish got by, eventually). That's a plus for unlimited storage. Being able to pick up a package anytime instead of correos hours is a plus also if you are pressed for time. And the hotel discount can reduce one's cost too.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

I understand your points, and agree with them. Being able to pick up my suitcase at my convenience was a huge plus in using Express Bourricot, and I also got a private room with ensuite at the discounted price, which was lower than some of my friends paid for a bunk in an albergue.

But, I actually moved @JoJoJo's post from an old thread about shipping from SJPDP since her specific question was about shipping within Spain.
