Interesting choice, as there is already an Albergue there, whereas several other locations on the Camí Catalàn have none - - though the one that there is does also welcome non-pilgrims, a couple on a bike tour had beds when I stayed there, so it's possible that the place is proving to be too small, between the Camino, Ignaciano, and non-pilgrims seeking to use it.

Unless they're closing it down ?

Dunno, pure guesswork, but now that they have started promoting the route between the border/coast and Montserrat, some Albergues on that route might have been more directly helpful.

Hi all, I started in Montserrat today and am in Igualada now in the new hostel which opened last Sunday. It’s a fine place , air con , lifts etc, modern building. I’m the 1st pilgrim to stay there ! I had intended walking the Norte again but the weather forecast is bad for the week so I opted for the Calatan Camino instead, I think it was a good secession, beautiful way 👍

Well done! Enjoy your walk and keep us posted with your travels, if you have time.

Hi all , well I arrived in Panadella and will walk to Tarrega tomorrow. A lot of road walking today, I think tomorrow will be better 🤞 It was windy all day and a little chilly tonight, good job I brought some pants with me 😀 Any advice gratefully received , As this was a spur of the moment to walk this way I am totally unprepared 🥴

Road waking will become less, don't worry! You avoided plenty of road walking by not walking the del Norte route (beautiful but far too much road walking). I don't know if you have a place in mind to stay in Tarrega tomorrow. I can highly recommend an Airbnb place there where we have stayed twice.
