Time of past OR future Camino

Hi everyone, doing my first Camino with my wife on February. Good to see everyone here. Does anyone have any idea what the weather is going to be like and what to prepare? We are starting from Sarria. Thank you.

Feet! Good well broken in shoes and a good sock system. Walk a lot in them before arriving on the way. Take at least a couple good long, 5-10 mile, walks in them. Foot issues can make a Camino miserable. It all can be managed and your Camino will be amazing. Prepare your mind and accept what the Way brings to you. For me , I try not to anticipate too much and just accept the Camino’s blessings and challenges. Enjoy! Buen Camino

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
Take at least a couple good long, 5-10 mile, walks in them.
I would go farther than that - take at least three consecutive days and walk at least 10 miles/16 km each day. It's walking a long distance day after day that will really show you if your footwear is right for you.

Thank you for this good info! Yes, shoes have been broken for more than a month now. I like your mentality on just having the camino bring you whatever challenges and blessings it wants to bestow. Having an open mind seems to be the best way to approach this.

That's been the essence of my training plans since 2016: train until I can walk three consecutive 20 km days, with loaded backpack, without discomfort. Then I know I am ready.
