Florida Bill,
Years ago I stayed at Refuge Le Cantou Notre Dame, which was simple and comfortable. The view, of course, was sublime! See more here

One of the prettiest places I've ever experienced. We stayed with friends so I can not recommend lodging. In the area there are several caves featuring neolithic cave drawings that allow visitors .

Ted, thanks for response. I haven’t looked into logistics of visiting Neolithic caves which I plan to do. I know there’s what’s called Pech Merle reachable from Cabrerets and Cele Valley variant. Now these you mention are near Rocamadour are not the same?

We stayed at the Logis Hotel Belvedere in Rocamadour. The room was small but spotlessly clean with a great shower and unlimited hot water. We had a gorgeous view overlooking the countryside and enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio. Breakfast in the morning had balloons flying down the valley. Don’t miss evening vespers in the small side chapel, it was beautiful.
