- Once again, you don’t need a lot to live, for 10 days with only a backpack;
- That you will have a lot of flashbacks from places and situations from your previous Caminho;
- That you never, NEVER, walk alone;
- That people are kind, if you’re kind with them;
- That liners in Spain, are much more cheaper than in Portugal;
- That the new store INERCIA, in Tui, has very good prices;
- That I shouldn’t forget to put my spork inside my bag, or it will break only 24 hours after I bought it;
- That a 40x40 fiber towel it’s enough for you to dry yourself;
- If you still think that you need a bigger towel, wash your clothes on the bath, pick up your boxer underpants, twist them the much you can, and use them to dry the rest of your body. Trust me, it works!;
- Clothes almost dry, will dry after a complete night inside the bottom, of your sleeping bag;
- That the Public Albergue in Tui, it’s located behind the Cathedral, and it’s badly signalized. It has a kitchen, but the stove doesn’t work, and it doesn’t have any plates, cups, etc, etc;
- That if you buy the things on supermarkets and cook, it will be much more cheaper (where the heck can you eat mac and cheese with shrimps, plus two cups of wine for 3.60€ per person!?);
- That the detour before O Porriño, it’s good, but not so good has that;
- That doing the Caminho with soared ankles, it’s completely different from doing it with no problems. At least, the hills in Mos didn’t seem so hard this year;
- Sometimes, if you wave, sheep’s will sent you some “bahhhhhh” in response;
- Don’t judge others, or you might be judged has well;
- Opening Public Albergues at 4PM, it’s a risk both for Pilgrims, has for the Xunta. I’m talking to you Pontevedra!
- Heating at 28º its killer, both for the normal persons, and also for the snorers. It’s like sleeping on a bulldozer competition!
- The Albergue in Redondela it’s a must!
- When walking in the wild, work your inside. Take time, listen the birds, see the flowers, and watch out for 4x4 trucks!
- Consider checking the day that you are in. There aren’t a lot of things open at Sundays!
- That improving Albergues, it’s so important has maintaining them. Way to go Pousada D. Urraca in Caldas de Reis!
- That Orange juice it’s much cheaper in Spain. And even the ones in the bottles, are good!
- That in Padron, Pepe is the guy!
- That after Teo, if it’s raining hard, the only dry place that you will find to stop, it will be in O Milladoiro;
- That, no matter the number of the Caminho, you will still cry when you reach Obradoiro square. And it will fill well.

Diogo

Yeap, it work, but don’t put wet clothes inside! I'm talking of near dry clothes, clothes that are on the middle term between little bit wet/dry.

Amigo Diogo. What a great information. Anyway you made it again so muito parabèns !
Good information to whom are intending to walk the caminho Portuges.
I liked it that you mentioned Pepe of Pepe's bar in Padrón the best of Padrón. We agree !

Any plans for next year ?

First we walk the camino Ingles and after that we will explore the Caminho da Costa from A Guarda to Vigo and Viano do Castelo to Camino. By car ! Maybe we walk this caminho next year.
We will see. Veremos !

After finishing the Ingles we try to come as far as Santarèm or Coimbra for camping
I will give you a call so maybe you are able to see us somewhere and we eat and drink something together. Count on it that this will be somewhere beginning of june.

Chamaremos-nos. Um abraço disso margem do rio Maas

Next year, Portuguese again. I said "See you next year!", almost to everybody, so I'll try to keep up with that promise. Will do the Caminho de Fatima this year too. 2016, I'll go until Fisterre, from Santiago.

Thank you for your information Diogo - and many other interesting posts. Although my Caminho from Porto isn't planned until May 2015 (other things planned/arranged for this year) your information serves to whet my appetite. Mel

Thanks Diogo. Will be setting off from Lisbon on 1 May. This info will be helpful.

Glad all is well, amigo Diogo!
I start the Ingles in 5 weeks.
Next year I'm thinking ..... just thinking [like we all do!] about the camino Invierno. Have you tried that?
Hasta la proxima, amigo, y gracias para amistad.

Thank you Diogo. I walked the Camino Frances in April 2013 and today I am sitting in my office remembering my walk and the people I met. And I wish I could drop everything and leave this minute to walk again! My husband and I are planning to walk from Lisbon to Santiago during the early summer 2015. It cannot come soon enough. And when it does, I know I will be surprised again as I was the first time and I know it will feel well.

Thank you all for your words.

@Stephen Nicholls , I've only done the Portuguese. Going to do it again next year, and in 2016, I'm going to Fisterre and Muxia. I want to give some time, so they can reconstruct the shrine in Muxia.

For the rest of you people, all the pictures in here: https://plus.google.com/photos/106626984905339821268/albums/5998091011773879025

There are no pictures from the last 2 days, because it was raining a lot.

Everything good for all of you!

And for those who are going to hit the Camiño in the next few days, Buen Camiño!

how kind of you to share such an abundance of good photos. Thank YOU! - will be starting, God-willing, early May from Lisboa ... really enjoyed the preview of the upcoming sights.

I would like to walk the river route in Tui next month. I can see on google maps exactly where it starts, but it seems a bit overgrown. Has anybody used this route this year or last year...
Hello, my friend of 50+ years and I are on our first Camino walk. We are looking for: 1) safe, comfortable hostels in Lisbon; 2) stages from Lisbon to Porto (via Tomar) in about 16 days...
Hi I have searched everywhere to see if there is a luggage service from Lisbon to Porto. I know there is from Porto to Santiago, but Lisbon ???. Thanks for any info.
