Camino route is called camino mozarabe! There is alot of info on this site!!! Credentials are only avsilable on a tuesday evening at 730 at calle republica argentina - a street! They jave guide books!

Myself and my husband are going to walk the Camino Mozarabe but only from Malaga to Antequera , about 3 days 11 - 13th August , as we are meeting family there . All the advise seems to say not to walk in July / August but I'm hoping if we start and finish early we can avoid the intense heat. I am a bit concerned about accomodation as I read somewhere that the albergue in Almogia is closed in July / August and I'm not finding anything else available online. Do you think the tourist office will be able to find us something bearing in mind that it's a Friday night 11th August so it's coming up to Feria time around the 15th ? Also if the albergue in Almogia is closed what about the one in Villanueva de la Concepcion ?

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Other options in these two places:
Almogia: "Hostal Posada de Almogía". Avenida Juan Carlos I Rey de Espana s / n. 635 20 20 72. A little further in the same street as the albergue.
Villanueva de la Concepcion: "Casa Rural Rincon de Torcal", https://www.rincondeltorcal.com/ near the ayuntamiento.

Hi, I am following your route, Malaga to Santiago starting at the end of May this year. As usual, I am probably trying to over prepare, but what can you tell me about accommodation. In particular the Mozarabe sections. Will I have to ring an Albergue in the day to check if they are open (my Spanish is not fluent)
Any advice would be welcome.
Regards, David

Hi David , if you go onto the website www.caminomozarabedemalaga.com there is a lot of info there. There are contact details there too if you want to ask them to send you accomodation details in English. We found them very helpful for both stages we have done. ( Malaga to Antequera Aug 2017 and Antequera to Córdoba Oct 2019 )

I will be 3 months behind you. Im starting 29th May. I love the heat! On previous Caminos I have probably overplanned and had routes and accommodation on my phone, but do you have albergues/hostals planned? any guidance would be appreciated.
regards
David

I've just completed the Camino Mozarabe from Almeria. My first Camino was the Camino Frances from SJPDP in October 2021. I don't have a trip report as such. I know people who trip on mushrooms...
