The Madrid friends have posted a list of albergues and services on the Camino Madrid, dated October 2014. It even has a phone number to contact the holder of the keys to Wamba church :) It's in PDF form and, obviously, it's in Spanish but being a list the words and abbreviations are basic.

Unfortunately any list gets out of date fairly quickly but this must be the latest and it has a lot of information

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Thanks, sulu, this is a great list. I notice they also have a 15€ guide with maps.

Do you think it would be crazy to walk the Madrid again just so I can finally have the chance to visit the church in Wamba?:) It was really a disappointment to find it closed. I should have asked around a bit, I guess. Is the Camino de Madrid your next walk? Buen camino, Laurie

Now I overlooked the guide with maps, I'll have to go back and have a look.
Laurie, you can go back and walk them all again:) I want to go back to the Pimitivo because I didn't visit Sta Eulalia, there' so much to see.
No I don't aim to do Madrid next, that will be the Levante, I hope, I'm aiming for the Madrid and more Invierno in October. That's if all goes well.

Thanks for posting this @sulu :)

In Segovia Albergue Duerme Vela isn't really an albergue or at least it isn't pilgrim orientated. But they do have pilgrim discount (forgot the price but they're not high though). Segovia's albergue is actually in Zamarramala and it's a gem. Half an hour (down & up from the city) but well worth it. With three restaurants in the village.

In Ane albergue isn't in "muy malas condiciones" if we, pilgrims, try not to be. It is quite basic (showers & hot water are there, but no kitchen) but plenty of space in one smaller and one very large dormitory. All in all very pleasant stay although you have to bring provisions.

In Tamariz de Campos I don't think you can do anything with calling the parroquia. There's a very dump and completely unfurnished small room at the side of the chursh. You don't want to sleep in there, believe me! It's better to get phone number of a native German woman who's a teacher in Medina from a bartender on Tamariz main plaza. I was told that she offered acommodation to pilgs before.

I wondered about that Albergue in Segovia, there is so little info. I had planned to stop in La Granja and Zamarramala but my Camino Madrid is on hold, I have the urge to do the Francigena.:)

Hi, Sue!

You can find all about Duerme Vela Hostel in Segovia here:
http://www.duermevelahostel.com/
They are located near the aquaduct and are very friendly. My plan was to stay there for one night (and next one in Zamarramala) but I had to stay another day in Manzanares due to blister, so I have no actual experience apart from E-mail and telephone call. But it sure look very nice.

Also take a peek in my posts about special discounts in Segovia hotels. There's a photo of a flyer I got much later along the Camino in albergue in Puente Duero. Looks like Segovia authorities are really trying to get more pilgrim attention.

Happy planning Francigena :)

Thanks for that, I've read your posts I just haven't looked at your photos, my internet access is sooo slow:(
By the time I get round to the Madrid (October 2016:)) there will be even more options.
I love the planning but the Francigena looks like it will be very different.
