I carried my cpap device along CF and Norte. I don't have a guidebook on Levante yet. Are the alberques or refugios along the Levante modern enough and have power outlets near the beds.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

I surely hope so :)
Actually I'm quite sure that they are or you can at least help yourself with repositioning the beds closer to outlets since those are mostly small albergues without hospitaleros.

Ultreia!

Hi Kinks, there are ordinary European plug outlets in all the refugios, politdeportivos and hostals along the route, with the possible exception of Higueruela where you might have to go upstairs. Not so sure they are exactly by your bed every time, but they are there.

Buen Camino

Are there more people who walked the camino using a CPAP?
Did you stay in albergues, and did you have no problems with it?
My hysband has a CPAP too, and would like to walk the camino!

I used the cpap in alberques, on Frances and Norte. No problems at all. Thats why i am inquiring about Levante. Mine weighs 5 ibs so am shopping for a travel version should be lot more lighter.

Thanky you, Kevin!
I'm coming from EU too ;)
I don't really mind where I recharge my mobile phone or DSLR batteries but with CPAP (that's what Rajy62 asked) it's a whole different thing.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

I have the Transcend and bought an extra 8 hour battery for nights without power outlets. The combination weighs about 1 kg = 2.2 Ib.

Did you use it on the Camino and how was it without the humidifier. I also heard it is a bit noisy. Has anyone complained of the noise?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
And there is always the possibility to take the mattress off the bed and position it close to the plugin/electrical outlet you need to power your CPAP. Hospitaleros and fellow peregrinos will understand this as it is for medical reasons. Buen Camino! SY

Apologies for the late reply. I don't come to the forum as often as I would like.

I used the Transcend on the Camino. It is slightly louder than my main machine. Ideally find a large dorm with many snorers and nobody will notice. I spent some nights in a room with only 4 occupants and they said the sound wasn't a problem. I only had one person complain in about 50 nights on various caminos and I think that was due to me failing to mention and explain the machine beforehand and that person being a very light sleeper.

The lack of humidifier didn't bother me. I don't use humidification at home most nights.

I hope this will still be of use.

On Levante you will feel "lucky" to have company in albergues, especially in the hot months.

Hi Kinkyone,

Have you completed the Levante? How was it?
