The next meeting of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, camino group is to be held at 2.00pm on sunday 11 January at the North Shore community hall, 701 David Low Way, Mudjimba.
2 of our group will be showing slides and give a talk on their recent camino Frances and another member will speak on some of the issues she faced on her camino.
There will also be a presentation on the Australian camino, or Mary Mackillop way, which is a 7 day, 230km walk from Portland in Victoria to Penola in South Australia.
As usual there will be plenty of time for questions or to discuss anything related to the camino.

Great turnout of 65 persons to our meeting on 11 January. Many thanks to Jill and Kalee who spoke on their recent Oz camino (The Mary McKillop Way) and Marilyn, Nigel and Meg who gave presentations on their September camino Frances walks. We have a group walking the Oz camino in March. If anyone is interested in taking part or would like more information on this please contact me as soon as possible as deposits have to be paid by 18 January.

Llew, I was at the meeting & it was very inspiring, and have started training again. I intend to walk the camino with the Qld contingent in early April, bur haven't heard from Luke yet.....I'd better contact someone if I need to put a deposit in before 18Jan, as that's just days away. Keep up the fantastic work you are doing for our group

· Anyone interested in attaining their CPR certificate are invited to stay after the meeting and gain their certification with Helen Pouwer from National First Aid. Helen is a dynamic presenter and teacher and we received lots of positive feedback and enquiries from the last meeting so she is prepared to train interested Camino members. The cost is $65 and it will take about 90 minutes.

Hi there. Next meeting is 2.00pm 21 May at North Shore Community Hall, 701 David Low Way, Mudjimba Following meetings for 2017 are 21 August and 19 Nov. The group has walks nearly every saturday at various venues on the Sunshine Coast and also 3 or 4 2 day walks during the year. Also camino film nights, dinners etc. There is a facebook page you can join - Sunshine Coast Camino Group.
