Do the post offices in Spain sell boxes? I would assume so. Does anyone know the dimensions of the boxes they sell? I'm not having any luck finding this info on the English part of their website.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

From memory there are three sizes - the large one is big enough to take a 30/35 litre carry-0n wheeled bag; the next size I remember is around the size of a large loaf of bread (say a 900 gm loaf). I think there is another size but I can't recall it. For the large box you can usually buy packing tape - its usually about a half-size roll. These boxes have the advantage of being easily recognised as post boxes and they have the appropriate places for senders name and receipients name and address. You will need to go into a post office in the larger towns to be assured of getting these products. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Here are the standard box sizes. These are the "Caja Verde." They were actually green for years.

Now someone figured out that brown boxes are likely cheaper. Ergo the Caja Verde boxes, for sale at the Correos are brown.

Here are the sizes:

Caja Pequeno - too small to matter...

Caja Mediana - 317 x 215 x 125 mm
(12.4” x 8.4” x 4.9” )

Cala Grande - 390 x 280 x 190 mm
(15” x 11” x 7.4”)

Caja Grande + - 500 x 300 x 300 mm

Caja supergrande - 590 x 390 x 390 mm (23” x 15” x 15”)

I hope this helps.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I have a confession. I am terrified of - and yes now feel free to laugh - the top bed in bunks with no railing/fence (something to stop you falling out). I've managed to get away with it except...
