Here are the steps that you need to follow:

1) Go here:
http://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/account/upgrades

2) Press "Purchase" (the button to the right) at the level you would like to donate.

This post has been edited since I no longer have a PayPal account... Clicking the "Purchase" button above, brings up a dialog where you can add a card number. I use Stripe https://stripe.com/us/customers to complete the transaction (partly owned by Visa).

Buen Camino!

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
I LOVE paypal, but can't read it as it shows up in Spanish. Don't want to use a credit card. I tried to email you but the email address, which I copied and pasted, didn't work. It looked right also.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I don't know how banks from "far away" countries are handling international transfers. :mad:But I know that from Central America banks (maybe not all:rolleyes:) it is possible to transfer funds to accounts in Europe by using the IBAN system. :)
With Ivar's full details of name, address, bank, account and IBAN (which is a long set of numbers which start with ES) and BIC (bank identifier code), members who's banks have this facility could make direct donations to Ivar's account.
I think my and Annakappa's donations are soon "due".
Ivar, suggestions?;)

This thread is a year and a half old, and I have changed the way donations works since then. Now I use https://stripe.com which is partially owned by VISA. Debit/credit card is just the easiest way to transfer money at the end of the day. Bank transfers can also be done, but are much more costly. I transferred some money from Spain to the UK the the other day. €30,- fee. I was able to negotiate the fee down to about half, but still...

So now, donations can be done it two ways (both using stripe, but just in different way).

1) Here for those with a forum account:
https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/account/upgrades

2) Here for those without a forum account (or for those with an account, but that feels this is easier)
http://www.santiagodecompostela.me/products/camino-forum-donation

As I mentioned before, both ways go through stripe. I store no credit card numbers and all is done over an encrypted connection. (Since stripe is owned partially by VISA so they know what they are doing).

Thanks again for all who donate!

I don't have a credit card/paypal etc. but will donate to keep this forum. It helped me, it's fun to read and by reading all the stories it reminds me to my Camino. How can I donate? Do I have to come to Santiago to bring the cash money? I don't mind to do that ;)

The, slightly illegal and not too safe, method would be to put the bill/s in a padded envelope and send it by post.
Hand delivery would be also fine.
Do you have a debit card? That works also!
Or just invite @ivar for a drink, next time you are in Santiago (every excuse for another Camino is valid!)

Thank you for thinking of donating!

Feel free to do it in person next time you are in Santiago.. I am located here:

I have been trying to donate for some time, but am having issues with my card. The issue is definitely on my side, and I'm still trying to get it sorted, though it has been going on for weeks now.

Is that paypal account still active? I've been using paypal for online transactions in the meantime, and have had no problems there.

Hi there,

You can do so here:
https://www.santiagodecompostela.me/products/camino-forum-donation
...or here:
https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/account/upgrades

...either one of these two places works.

Thank you for thinking of me!
