From Madrid to SJPP

Time of past OR future Camino
French 13th August 2018
I am arriving in Madrid from Australia on the 11th of August and staying the night. I would like to travel from Madrid to SJPP on Sunday the 12th. I know I can get a bus from Madrid to Pamplona but will there be an afternoon bus from Pamolona to SJPP. Help anyone.
Regards Ian

Yes, there is an afternoon bus to Saint Jean. Check the ALSA website for schedule and purchase tickets in advance.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
My friend and I took the train to Pamplona and a taxi to St Jean. As there were two of us we were able to split the taxi cost. This taxi company will hook you up (if possible) with others who are also traveling to St Jean to split the cost: http://www.taxipamplona.com/en/comparte.php
Thanks Trecile I shall look at the Taxi option as there are two of us travelling together.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

The taxi will cost about double what the bus costs, but it was worth it for us, since we didn't have to wait for the late afternoon bus. Plus, I got us a really cheap fare on the train, since I booked it the day that fares became available for the day that we were traveling.
