Walking for the first time from April 1st to April 7th 2018 from St Jean Pied de Port.
Hi, I am walking with a friend for about six to seven days from April 1st to April 7th of this year (2018). We are flying into Biarritz on March 31st and hoping to start from St Jean Pied de Port. I am very used to hiking long distance but my friend is not. I was thinking of covering 18 to 20 km a day but I am unsure of whether or not this will be too much for my walking partner! Also, would anyone know where we may end up? We have one way flights and will need to book flights home from where we finish up our walk so that we can get back in time for work!

Thank you all in advance!

Hi and welcome.

You could use this helpful planner to get an idea about distances.

No matter how far you get in 7 days, you can get a bus back to Pamplona. There is good service between the Camino towns on that stretch. Pamplona could be a good return location, especially if you are not sure how far you will get. Walk till you are done, bus back. Option would be walk till you are done and take a bus forward to Logrono. Both easy.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.
