Internet along the camino frances !

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Ger. :

Every major refugio on the spanish side this year had a public Internet facility, plus there were other public ones along the way as well.

Costs were EURO 1.00 for between 16 to 23 minutes usage.

Happy surfing!

There is a lot of internet-access along the camino.

I got a list from another member on this forum- "Sillydoll"
you can send her a mail and ask for it [edited: ivar, see below].
Then I think she will send you a mail with the list :)

And the prices can be from 1E for 15 min, to 1E for 1 hour.

The internet-boxes in the refugios can be expensive AND occupied! So look for internet at cafetería or local bars.

[edit: I think it is best not to post 3rd persons e-mail addresses on the forum, due to the fact that this person probably will get exposed to more spam. To get this e-mail address I suggest e-mailing bsaa77 (e-mail icon below this post. This icon is visible to members only and is therefore spam safe)]

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
ger,

Er is genoeg te vinden. Naast alle adresjes had ik goede ervaring met het aanspreken van jongelui in de juiste leeftijdsklasse die altijd wel ergens een adresje hadden om ff te mailen.

Translation:
(there's enough places to find. I had some good experience by asking the young guys for a cybernet-cafe and they always could direct me to some place where I could mail)

Buen Camino

Almost every place you'll spend the night has WiFi and almost every cafe I stopped at during the day to get a coffee or a meal also had Wifi.

Don't sweat it.

In 2005, internet was almost rare. Today wifi is ubiquitous.
Except for the Parador in Santiago de Compostella , I suspect their WiFi system is still thirteen years old :)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

The resurrection of some of these old threads is a fascinating insight into how some things have changed! And how some things have not!

But it does make finding the new threads rather difficult. :(
Or maybe there aren't as many new threads now?

It's a bit like reading a stack of 10 year old Newspapers........
But missing out on today's News....
Sorry

Even in 2017, I found that the wifi in many albergues on the Camino Francés was more of the theoretical nature. A lot of times there were too many people trying to use it that it just stopped working (or at least that's what the hospitaleros attributed it to). And actually we had a really nice stretch of albergues for about five or so nights just before and into Galicia that didn't have wifi at all, which helped create a much better atmosphere and were some of the most enjoyable experiences we had.
