Android app

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
What about it do you like? Id like to leave behind the books if I can.
I mean compared to other apps. I haven't found one perfect app that does everything, so I use 2 or 3. It would be nice to have one that does it all.

Which other ones do you use that are decent?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I have used it both on summer and winter caminos. On the maps side you can be onlune or download map for ofline. Lists all the albergues along camino and can guide you in the largest of cities to the door. Tells you what facilities are in all towns. I brought a guide but did not use it once and used only this app.

For me this is by far the best android app for the French Way

I used this app last April. It allowed me to customize my stages in terms of "merging stages" into one stage and "splitting one stages" into two.

There was no price tag for the tag, only gently request for donation.

I used this in the summer of 2016 and it was one of the apps I used most frequently. I had a number of apps, as well as the Kindle Brierley map book and the Village by Village Guidebook and The Complete Cultural Handbook in e-book format. I also used some websites like the ones trecile mentioned above. That allowed me to compare what was said about different villages/albergues and see the consensus, to help protect against individual errors in specific apps/books/sites.

I found it generally reliable (there were some errors, but all guides/apps have some). I liked the ability to customize stages to what I was actually planning to walk. I liked the information about locations and the option to read/add comments on the albergues. I liked the map it would show of the route with the marker of where you are. I eventually realized you can zoom in really close and use it to get you back on the Camino if you found you had strayed off of it.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.
I ignored the reviews for the Wise Pilgrim app (Android) and spent AUD8.00 on an app that doesn't do much. The map function is constantly crashing so I've requested a refund from the developer.
The Casa Ivar app is great for info and insights from the Camino community but it's been crashing a bit lately (posting from then site now).
Just downloaded the Buen Camino app and purchased the Norte guide. No crashing or noticeable bugs to report yet.

Hola, I gearing up to start my 1st CdS and have seen people recommended sleeping bag liners to protect against bed bugs. Do these help or is it a myth? Should I add the extra weight of bringing one?
