We are Chanaleilles, which is 15km past Saugues on the Le Puy route, it has been snowing since very early morning. About 6-7 inches has settled and it’s minus 1. Some pilgrims have continued to walk but this is a planned rest day for us. Others have bussed out. At the moment we have the gite to ourselves.

We were not too sure about how to proceed as apparently 2 pilgrims died in the snow and fog a couple of years ago.

We have decided to walk on the road instead of the track but it depends on the weather of course, we are pilgrims but not too purist to ditch common sense.

Two days ago we were walking in 22c degrees. I’ve attached some photos, the best is yesterday’s photo of the cafe compared to today’s snow photo of it.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

Be safe! Didn’t think it would still be snowing. Common sense goes a long way. Vaya con Dios peregrino

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I have seen pictures of snow in LePuy yesterday as well

Are there any updates from anyone on the current conditions. I don't start walking until Monday 21/5 and also wasn't bringing heavier gear. So how is it there now?

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I would like to know, too. I arrive in Le Puy on May 31st. Have added a few warmer layers to my pack, but would prefer leaving them at home.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Thanks mournes

I am fine tuning my packing and I pre package my vitamins/supplements to take daily, which I have done for about 15 years. Do you all take them with you, or leave them home? 36 days of vitamins...
Dear fellow pilgrims! :) I hope to walk from Le Puy to Santiago later this year. I was thinking about starting at some point in august so that I manage to reach Santiago before it gets too cold...
Hey! Thinking about walking Le Puy this year. I am a solo female traveller. On my previous Camino (Spain) I stayed in municipal albergues, but this time I would like to try something...
