VdP route to take in September??

Hi could anyone give some ideas please on the route options on the VdP after Slamanca please?
I've walked the VdP from Seville to Salamanca and hoping to continue in September. I'm wondering about the following options:
- What is the route like from Salamanca to Zamora? Hilly? Flat? Many albergues? Hot at that time? Busy? Any info would be helpful.
- What is it like walking from Zamora on the VdP towards Leon or Astorga? Again, scenery, busyness etc.
- Or, what is it like from Zamora towards Ourense on the Sanabrese?
- Or for something completely different, what is the Norte from Gijon like?
I'll have between 1-2 weeks.

Pierre, it looks like you've done the last bit of the Camino Frances at least twice. If you walk from Salamanca to Zamora, you will end up on the Camino Frances again, so that might be something to consider. I've walked both options from Granja (the village where the routes diverge). I would probably recommend the Sanabres. You can look at blogs of both choices, 2016 to Zamora, and 2017 along the Sanabres. Buen Camino! http://ourboatleavestheharbor.blogspot.com/

Thanks both for your helpful replies. My friends are keen to walk through mountains. I love Castille and would like to keep going from Salamanca. At what stage after Salamanca does it get more hilly or mountainous please? What is the scenery like from Salamanca to the Sabres part? Any thoughts - I'd be very grateful.
