Better to stay in Gite La Tour or with the Carmelites? Had contacted the Carmelites earlier and the reply was they were only taking previous bookings. So contacted La Tour. Had a reply from them, then another from the Carmelites saying yes it was ok. So, any recommendations for which is good?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I stayed at the Carmel where they were very kind and it was a good place to stay. I have to return to do the next bit and plan to stay at the Club Alpin Francais gite but only because I can get a discount there as I am a member of another national alpine club.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to stay there as 2 of us have been ill. So having a break till good health returns.
Hopefully, will start again in Toulouse.

Oh no!,Sharon. Hope its nothing serious. x
Hi Heather. Bob became ill on the Chemin du Stevenson and heads home in 2days. I have a chest infection. Accidentally, left some medication along the Stevenson. So, no antibiotic or prednisone( as emergency backup for asthma). Have been to pharmacist and on 2 lots of medication plus have my puffers.
Will rest in Toulouse for next 2 days and see how I go. Otherwise, will be heading home as well.

Hope you both feel better soon,Sharon. We just don't know what will happen on our Caminos. even with all the planning. Good luck x

We stayed at the club Alpin and the accommodations were ok but it is located right below the church bells and they ring every hour and half hour. We did not sleep a wink and left early the next morning. It is such a beautiful village that we wanted to stay 2 nights but we need sleep.

Carmelites -- but there are certain pilgrims in some peculiar moral situations that they might conceivably refuse.

If you're walking alone, this should not be a worry.
