Does anyone know if there is a regular bus from Tricastilla to Samos?

Thank you for your answer,
Elvira

Join our full-service guided tour of the Basque Country and let us pamper you!
Maybe you can hitch a ride with a Jacotrans driver for a few euros?

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

i understand you may have reasons to consider transport, but just in case walking is an option... The alternative route (more quiet by all means) via Samos to Sarria is quite nice - there is a bit next to the main road (not too busy if you leave early e.g) but also much forested sections and some pretty villages and churches.. We found Samos a really pleasant place to overnight (some quite affordable private options there also) and appreciated the peace and quiet there. The views of the monastery walking towards Samos are impressive. However, the guided visit of the monastery, musty and mouldy did not have much to offer and I would not particularly recommend. Most of the tour is in the church, which is open for mass anyway.

Also check with the other taxi services hauling luggage to Samos (see envelopes in every albergue).
I'm assumimg there is a reason for transport...
But...I second the walk idea.
It's beautiful and actually pretty short.
Do go to Samos. It's a beautiful and relaxing spot.

Samos is a bucolic town but has all the services. One of my favourite places on the Way. Personally, I would pay those 4 Euros for a visit to the monastery just to see an 18th-century fountain with ugly Nereids.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!

There is a bus once a day from Pedrafita to Sarria. It passes through Triacastela at 7.15 and through Samos on its way to Sarria. I can not remember how it is in weekends.

The 9th edition the Lightfoot Guide will let you complete the journey your way.

There is a bus from Hospital to Triacastela, through Samos to Sarria. It is very early in the morning. I got it from Hospital, just outside the albergue at either 7 or 7:30. Cant remember exactly. It is just a small local bus and the journey to Sarria cost me €4. I had hurt my ankle and intended to go to Triacastela. When the driver said Sarria, I succumbed to temptation

Upon the Samos city council webpage, the enterprise is Monbus and runs from Mo-Sat (not Sundays). It is rather a minibus.
No bus station in Triacastela. I remember it stops near a cafe. Ask locals.

Yes that is true, the bus stops down hill on the main road, just about halfway out of town, it is opposite a restaurant. It is a minibus, but believe me, it can take many pilgrims to Samos or Sarria on a rainy day :)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.

It's a very pleasant walk.
We walked it in may 2017 and picked the most delicious wild strawberries
