We stayed a Casa Pepa in 2016. Shared dormitory and a dinner and breakfast. I second the recommendation. They also had a washing machine which we were pleased to use.

Hi,
Nearby Casa Jurjo offer a pick up/drop off service, I used this in 2016 primarily because we had our 2 girls with us (12 & 9yrs) but it really was a toss up between here & casa pepa. Casa Jurjo is on Booking.com & casa pepa (at the time) had to be contacted directly. Pepa will hit u in the face on the Camino - Jurjo is a 5min drive.

Enjoy.

I also stayed at Casa Jurjo in 2017. The unit I used had a washing machine with some detergent available. No dryer but ample space on the patio to spread out damp clothes and have them dry in the sun. Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant for dinner. There are some stores nearby to get any needed supplies.

Superb Albergue with great food and excellent host

I like to stop in Vilaserio, which is 12 km beyond Negreira. So that makes it a 32 km day from Santiago. It has two private albergues (both of which I have stayed in) and a municipal (which i haven’t). The newer private albergue Casa Vella, in an old stone house, is really nice. The Rueiro is more functional, less charming, and fine. I would eat in the Rueiro Restarant and sleep in Casa Vella, to sort of spread the wealth. The dinner at Casa Vella left my male friends hungry.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
I’m here tonight at Monte Aro and I must say it’s a fantastic albergue! Beautifully restored old building, modern bunks with power points, lots of windows, 4 private bathrooms w/ showers. There’s a separate bar/restaurant with amazing food and large portions for their pilgrims menu! It was 29.6 kms for me from the Hotel Millan on the outskirts of Negreira but well worth the effort.

Casa Pepe good food and clean albergue.

My husband and I would like to spend a night in Muxia after walking to Santiago but don’t have time to walk there. Rome to Rio says there’s busses twice daily, but if you go to the Monbus website...
