Cycling the Camino De Levante

Hi everyone,I am planning on cycling a week of the Camino de Levante around 1st September.
I only have just 7 days so I do not want to waste time cycling out of industrial/urban areas.
Where would you reckon I should start to get the most out of the week.
Love nature, quiet and open spaces and only planning on 40kms per day.
I am flying into Murcia so any advice appreciated.
Also will there be anyone cycling/walking this rotue?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Additionally I have contacted the link for buying the Camino de Levante book and unfortunately they have not responded to me so a little unsure what to do?

I'm not a Camino cyclist but I did walked the Levante. I guess 40km/day isn't much for a bike because it can be easily walked on Levante which is more or less very flat.
What kind of terrain do you prefer?
Are you on budget or can stay in private accommodations?
How about your interest in architecture and history?

Many possible 1 week stretches.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Thanks for your input,I would ideally like to be on a flat terrain as long as I am not in urban areas.
I was hoping to mix it with alberques and hostals as it is only for a week so I am quite open.

There is not much, if any, industry leaving Valencia on the Levante. It is a great surface for bicycles for the first 100 km or so, all asphalt, no dirt or rocks. Horrible on the feet, though. From Valencia to Moixent you won’t go off road at all.

Leaving Valencia you go through suburbia not industrial areas. Buen camino.

I agree with KinkyOne that 40 km seems few on Levante, but this is good to enjoy the journey.
So 7 days x 40 km/day = 280 km, and Murcia as landing city.
Albacete to Toledo is mostly flat and 250 km long, and from Murcia you can reach Albacete by train in 1h45 (trains from Murcia to Madrid). Toledo is nice place to end, and have direct trains to Madrid to fly home.
If too short you can continue one more stage to Torrijos which is also connected to Madrid by train.
On the other hand, have you see that Murcia is on the Ruta del Azahar? (Cartagena-->Albacete-->Santiago)
Buen Camino

Thanks, Jean-Luc,

It's exactly what I wanted to suggest to the OP when I read his response to my question :D
Also on this stretch there is quite a mix of albergues /polideportivos and pensiones/hostales. The scenery is magnificent and few nice little towns thrown in. Ending in Toledo would be a gem for such short bici-Camino.

Cheers fellow camino travellers for your trusted advice, I have had a look at that section and it looks very interesting, presumably there are lots of albergues also as my budget is a little tight with having to hire the bike etc. Are there many people walking/cycling this route as I like some isolation but not solomente!!

I walked in 2013 and met two Frenchmen on my third or fourth day. We stayed together the whole way into Santiago. And we met a grand total of two or three others. But on my first night in Algemesi, a cyclist came into the albergue at about midnight and scared me so much I let out a huge scream. He was scared, too, because the cops gave him the key and told him there was no one there. Problem was that I had gotten the other key from the museum, which didn't notify the cops I was there. Anyway, I did meet a cyclist on the Levante!

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

Hi Maxo, when did you do it? Try again, the secretary of aacscv is surprised by this

In my first levante, 2014-2016 I saw 0 bikers; in 2017 I saw 2 germán bikers before Chinchilla and other germán in Poblá Llarga; in 2018 a spanish one in La Roda -- In 2019 until today we received at the AACSCV 6 spanish and 1 germán bikers.

I have walked several caminos since 2013 and am hoping to experience the Primitivo in September. Recently I have developed a nasty intermittent pain in the ball of my feet, especially the left...
