Camino effect?

Time of past OR future Camino
late 2018
I did the Camino from SJDP to Burgos last year due to time constraints and hopefully to resume and finish it all the way to SdC this month. It was a peaceful journey full of unforgettable experiences ranging from meeting people to camaderie as well as sense of humanity amongst pilgrims. Since coming home, instances of arising in the morning draws me back to the Camino. It did affect me sometimes during Sunday masses and when I'm by myself wherein my mind drifts back to my journey. Any thoughts on this? Please forgive me if previous similar post had been published.Thanx

Welcome to the club! You are not alone with those feelings. There are many 'repeat offenders' on this forum who go back time and again to walk the same Camino or different Caminoes. All have different/personal reasons, but the sentiments you mention are probably quite common.

Buen continued Camino....

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

I love the phrase Camino Effect. It describes perfectly the wonderful feeling of freedom, joy and anticipation that I experienced every day on the Camino. This effect has brought me back to Spain 8 times and I will be walking again next week. However, besides bringing me back to Spain, when the Camino Effect touches me I look inward to determine how I can make my life at home as wonderful as the camino. Simple maybe, but I am more outgoing and trusting plus much more on the Camino and letting that personality shine at home has made me feel like I am on one great adventure. Indeed we are because life is a journey and thus a pilgrimage.
I am still going back to Spain next week because helping others along the way is just as rewarding to me.
Let the Camino Effect be with you. (just taking liberty with may the force be with you---I am in Disneyland right now enjoying Star Wars Land)

I think really many peregrinos, as myself only want to go back to the Camino, as soon as possible, when one has finished a caminowalk.
For me, it is the magic of the Camino, the duende, which cannot be explained, but it is there, more ore less, but always 🍀

Good memories (even from the not so happy days), a bit of bittersweet feelings when I see my photos, a smile when I remember some fellows......sharing with prospective pilgrims your experiences, giving them some practical advices, helps. And I am fortunate to have a local "Amigos del Camino" chapter; sometimes I go to the meetings, sometimes not.
On the other side, "ordinary" life has to go on. To me, the Camino is so wonderful because I can go only in special occasions, after long and careful planning.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The Camino effect how well you put it. I am pretty sure it’s not a place but a state.

Ah... the Camino Effect - what a beautiful turn of phrase.

Our steps end. The Way goes on.

As you've gathered, you're definitely not alone with these feelings, the Camino leaves its indelible footprints on your soul. Take heart from your cherished memories and return to the Way as open as when you first stepped upon it in SJPDP.
