If you have time to spare in Lubián

I meant to post this before @laineylainey went through, but she is now long gone. So maybe someone else will hunt it down. In this post, https://www.caminodesantiago.me/com...tion-between-zamora-granja.26193/#post-240351, (it’s post number 22 in the thread) I put up a picture of a very old scallop shell on a rusty door handle in Lubián. I was sitting on some steps leading up to a little old house and I saw it. I would love to know if it is still there. The best memory I have is that it was in a little plaza (maybe the only “plaza” in Lubián?) and there were a few steps leading up to the door. It just struck me as so precious and timeless. If anyone does actually find it, would you post a picture or two and give detailed instructions on how to find it? I think others would enjoy seeing it as well.

The other thing to do in Lubián, which I also described in that post, is a short hike up past the medical center to find the wolf catcher. Another thing from days gone by that was very interesting for someone like me, who has no wolf experience.

Visit https://exifinfo.org/ and upload the original file. Possibly your camera/phone inserted the latitude and longtitude coordinates of where the picture was taken into the photo's exif data. That website should then show it to you.
Hi, Rick,
Thanks for the suggestion. I took a look at the site, but my problem is that I can’t find the original picture. It was taken on a digital camera years ago and must be somewhere on my computer, but those old files were all in picasa, which google bought and then closed. Long way of saying I can’t find the original to try to get the coordinates. 😄 It would probably be easier for me to just go back and hunt for it myself!

Well with a years old digital camera the coordinates would probably not be in the file anyway. Don't bother looking further.

As an aside would you be able to help on on this new Catalan thread? It would help me too.

I have had a few PMs with Mary and will combine into a post for the general community. Remind me of your details — I know you’re doing this one alone, and I think you are starting in Montserrat or Barcelona, so not doing the part from Port de la Selva, right?

Right. Alone from Barcelona to Montserrat (probably 3 days via Sant Cugat) and then on the Catalan to San Juan de la Pena on beyond.
