Time of past OR future Camino
Irun - Santiago - Finisterre
One question, please:
if I leave Irun october the 13th and will arrive in Finisterre approximately the third week of november, where can I check (if it's possible) the weather that I'll find, in advance, please? :)

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Accuweather usually has information about the average temperature of most places. Just type on the top the city you want. If you then choose the "Monthly" tab, is gives you the forecasts for the future month and info on the historical averages.

I'd recommend checking often though, because you will be moving from place to place and the weather can change quickly, so it is just reeeeally realible a few days/hours in advance, as any weather forecast.

Thanks a lot!
I'd try to guess right what to bring with me as equipment...

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I can recommend you the official weather app for Spain, if you let it access your location data, it will give you the forecast for that town either by day (7 days) or by the hour. It is very accurate for hourly weather reports of what lies ahead

For iPhone you can get it in the App Store it is called ElTiempo.es+ If you put that in the search in the App Store you will find it.

I find

Weather Underground

to be quite useful - they gather data from small, enthusiasts' stations too (I like the one on a house near to where I live).

You can choose today, a 10 day forecast or go to the history tab and dial up a specific day in the past - not all stations have a full history:

As others have said, Accuweather has good historical data to use as guidance. I prefer weatherspark.com which I find easier to use and do the drilling down.

The bottom line is that the Norte is along the coast, and it will be temperate and wet. Galicia will also be temperate, and likely much wetter by the time you get to Finisterre. You are likely to have a number of warm sunny days, and not likely to see many days below 10C. It is very unlikely you will encounter frost, but have layers of clothing because you don't want to bet your life on it. Did I mention you are likely to get wet? Have rain gear that you trust.

If you're walking the Camino del Norte then you'll be walking through the northern coastal regions of Spain - so much of the weather will be dictated by what's happening at sea. You can definitely expect frequent rain during that time of the year. You'll also have some beautiful sunshine and great views too.
Last year the warm summer weather lasted until about 20th October, but so far September has seen significant drops in temperature and massive flooding on the Mediterranean coast - none of which fits with yearly average statistics.
It will be what it will be, all you can do is check ahead by asking locals, watching TV weather reports (usually called EL TIEMPO or METEO) or, if you have data on a smartphone, then you could use the app called Windy - this has live satellite data for rain, wind and temperatures and is pretty accurate most of the time.
Many people in Spain use the internet site
AEMET.ES for forecasting weather. I have a cousin here in the Spanish military and he uses this.
I've attached a link here, set on Irún but you can select any area or town etc.
