No sub-forum for Lisbon to Santiago Central route?

Am I missing something? I don’t see a choice here for information on the basic Camino Portugues (Lisbon to Santiago Central Route).

Try looking under "Camino Portuguese Interior Route..." The Central Route is also referred to as the Interior Route. This is the original routing, before people started changing it up by including a coastal variation, then the more recent Spiritual Variant.

Let me be the first to do so then The naming of the Portugues variants is a confusing nightmare. The Interior is actually a different route much further east and closer to the Spain/Portugal border. And for those of us interested in etymology it is very puzzling why the "Litoral" and Coastal should be different routes but apparently they are....

Not quite right, t2. This all developed organically so maybe some history will help. The “regular” i.e., central, Caminho route through Portugal is the “Camino Portugues.” Way back when, when there were four or five caminos that anyone was talking about, we had subforums for the Norte, Frances, Portugues, Ingles, etc. So the subforum Camino Portugues was for all routes in Portugal. Then as interest developed, we got fancier. There was a special section given to “coastal route from Porto”, Variante Espiritual, Interior Route (that one is VERY confusing, as @Bradypus notes, but it starts from Coimbra or Viseu and heads northeast to Verín). Then, people started asking about walking on the coast from Lisbon. Well, there is a “coastal route” but it really doesn’t follow the coast, just goes from central Lisbon out to Cascais (I think) and then up to Sintra. Those who really wanted a coastal route found there is one called the “Trilhas do Mar” that goes along the coast up to Arriceira, then people wanted to walk to Fátima. Most recently there is the Caminho da Geira. Etc. Etc. Anyway, step by step we wound up with the list of sub-subforums you attached.

What that means is that anyone wanting to walk the “regular” central route, either from Lisbon, Tomar, Coimbra, Porto, Valença or anywhere else, should not enter one of the sub-subforums, and just post in the straight up “camino Portugues”. Every now and then I get energetic and move posts around, because there is a lot of confusion, but things seem to be in pretty good shape right now.

Thank you, Peregrina2000. That's what I ended up doing (posting in the straight up "Camino Portugues." I recently biked the entire Camino Portugues Central Route backwards (Santiago to Lisbon) and posted a fairly comprehensive trip report to help others who might wanna try the same thing (I walked the CF to SDC then rented a bike and biked SDC to Lisbon). I wasn't able to find any info on going *backwards* here beforehand and a walker I met going my way said he had also been unable to find any info here.

Anyway, my post "Cycling the Camino Portugues from Santiago to Lisbon, Central Route," got moved to "Biking the Camino." I never looked in "Biking the Camino" for info because I was looking for info on the CP, not the "The Camino" ie CF. It might pay to crosspost my post in "Camino Portugues" (if appropriate) because my info would help *wrong way* walkers as well.
