1. What is the last town to start on the del norte for me to still qualify for my Compostela?
2. Will it be easily accessible?
3.Two stamps per day required (and attainable?)

Like Sarria on the French way?

Lugo, according to the pilgrims office, though not on the Norte qualifies under their “recognized route” rule too. Easy to get to by bus from Santiago airport. Baamonde on the Norte. Not so easy but doable.
Then all you need to work on is your religious intent, “in peatus causa”.
20 stamps a day is perfectly feasible but 2 will suffice.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
@Mars R if you are looking for an alternative to Sarria, to do the 100km, think about Ourense on the Sanabrés. A great route (apart from the first 3 km out of the valley).

The Sanabres is a lovely walk - we did it 2 years ago - my 87 y.o. (then) father took a taxi to meet us 2/3 of the way up the hill just out of Ourense but it really wasn't as tough as expected.
Just go with the flow!

Thank you! I am googling and will let you know if I have any more questions. Limited time this walk, as I have 3 babies staying at home with their father :)

Thank you for your feedback. I am doing some research and was wondering; are there Albergues on this route or will we be forced to look for alternative accommodation?

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

1. Baamonde.
2. It depends where you start from. There is a train connection from Lugo and/or A Coruña twice a day. If this does not fit your needs it could become difficult. Maybe regional buses from Ribadeo via Mondoñedo and Vilalba.
3. Yes.

¡Ultreia!

I keep seeing discussion that alterations to the CdN have created a much shorter alternative. Is Baamonde still the point that the Pilgrim Office will recognize as qualifying for a Compostela?

ps I have asked them, but they haven't replied yet.

pps I now have a response from the Pilgrim Office, Baamonde is still the start point needed to qualify for the Compostela.
