Letters From Lockdown

Kiwi-family

{Rachael, the Mama of the family}
Time of past OR future Camino
walking every day for the rest of my life
On my (was) upcoming Camino to celebrate 50 years, I had planned to write 50 letters to people who have been influential in my life.
Yesterday I decided to start my project so I’ve named it Letters From Lockdown.
I have a list of who I will write to, but no plan beyond that (a bit like my Caminos really!)
It seemed fitting to start with my Camino Friends - that’s you!
I popped the letter (and a poem) in an envelope and scribbled some reminders of the day on the outside. I might continue this way and bind all the envelopes together at the end.
I’m not sure if you’ll be able to read them, but here goes.....

Wow Rachel
I could read most of it. (Such neat writing made it easy btw).
I’m in awe! How beautiful!!
Your love, appreciation and thankfulness just shine through.

Your plan for Valencia to Múxia is only delayed. Xxx

I love your idea. Very inspired 🤗
The current lockdown and travel restrictions are giving rise to many such wonderful ideas. My friend and I should be in spain walking the camino Frances as of today. We chose to postpone our flights (until hopefully September) and the day after, the news announced travel restrictions within Spain. We were upset, but knew it to be the right thing to do. Whether it's this year or next, we still have our fourth Camino to look forward to. I'm positive it will be all the better for it when it does happen. And I will be thankful for that.
After several years of not painting because of arthritis, and with time on my hands, I picked up my soft pastels and continued with a painting that I thought I'd never finish. And now I have.
For anyone waiting for their delayed Camino as we are, be inspired 😊

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
@MyraW would you share a photo of your picture with us?
Thank you so much for asking...I can't put a name to the face as I came across it whilst searching for something on google several years ago, and this is it.
