September camino!!

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
I have a plane ticket (booked in June, absurdly cheap) to southern France on September 26th. Originally I intended to use it to start my camino and cross the Pyrenées a few days later. Now it's more like "I hope to use it".

My original flight was booked for 2nd April. Obviously I couldn't go due to Corona, so rescheduled it for the 26th September, thinking everything would surely be back to normal by late September. Its not though, so that flight will be leaving without me. I just don't think its safe at the moment. I've waited my whole life to do the camino, so I'll just have to be patient and wait a while longer. Current plan is to train over the winter (as my walking schedule went completely out the window during lock down), and keep my fingers crossed that I'll be able to go late March/early April 2021

We had intended to be on the CF late Sept (delayed from March) but we decided not to go for a variety of reasons including UK gov travel advice/insurance concerns, us spreading the virus, concerns about outbreaks on the camino, Ivar's comments, etc. Quite envious of the people from the UK walking but also know it wasn't for us. Wishing you well if you decide to go.

"..... walk in Spain late September this year?"

Was scheduled to start the Frances this Sunday, 6 September.
Cancelled it weeks ago.
Good luck and Buen Camino if you end up going.

I'm wondering if anyone from UK is intending to travel and walk in Spain late September this year?

Yes! I’m hoping to go on 20 September. Obviously I am watching the stats very carefully and may decide not to, but for now I’m still hoping...

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
due to fly out this sunday 6th sept .to resume at burgos, still unsure to go or not to go ,?

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
To all those that choose to go this year please please check conditions ahead, remember the health of others and choose wisely and if you can even if you have no symptoms get checked before you go. Have a great walk.

My daughter said to me last night, why would you want to walk the camino in the current situation, you won't be able to enjoy it the same as previous caminos. She is right, so today I managed to change my flights for the third time since booking last October for an April 2020 camino, free of charge with easyJet. Now hopefully things will be better at the end of March next year🤞

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
We pilgrims from the UK will not have the benefit of the EHIC after 2020 unless there is a UK/EU agreement to extend. Travel insurance becomes an essential.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I'm flying in mid September to do the Frances. The EHIC card still works for me until January 1. Next year there'll be no EHIC coverage, nor will there be any health insurance because the UK govt will say no non-essential travel so health insurance will not cover you. I'm going while the going is good.

Very wise decision, enjoy your training in the winter.
