Bought an Albergue - Living the Dream?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
What a great interview with a brilliant hospitalera, it would be such a pleasure to visit Casa Susi when the Camino goes back to normal (at least a bit).

By the way, I watched the video with the closed captions on, and to my surprise I discovered Rob 's subliminal message smuggled in the interview around minute 16:30 🤔 Interesting...

Wow!! How did that get in there?
Cambridge Analytica all over again!

Fixed! How did YouTube get 'Donald Trump' from the word Donativo??
Conspiracy theories

Haha. Hardly. Voice recognition does all sorts of bizarre things. 'Albert gay' or 'El Verde' is what it comes up with when I say albergue. And donativo turns into 'turn the TV off,' 'donut Evo,' and 'donut eagle.' Maybe if I faked an Aussie accent it would come up with Donald Trump. 🙃 🤭

Lovely interview. Unfortunately Casa Susi was closed when I was in Trabadelo in August, but the Albergue Camino y Leyenda was really good as well.

If you want to earn your stay properly take the Camino Duro from Villafranca which has stunning views after a short sharp climb at the start. Do remember to take water though, as it is a couple of hours without infrastructure.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Delightful interview. If you give up the day job, Robo....wishing you every success when caminos are populated once more, Susi.

Wow well done Suzi. I unfortunately have walked the alterntives, Dragonte twice and the one up behind you to avoid the highway. (LOVE the dragonte)
Good luck.

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Excellent interview Susi and Rob.... great to hear your story Susi on what it is like to own and run an Albergue.

100% Albergue Camino y Leyenda gets my vote as well. We stayed there in 2015.

Another chat with Susi about how she ended up buying an Albergue.

This is an amazing story! Our Camino friends stayed at Susi's while we were at another albergue in town (a year ago!), We were told Susi was wonderful! I love Susi's smile! If only I was younger ... Thank you.

What a great interview. I loved my stay at Casa Susi in 2018, so welcoming! The 300 year old mill is wonderfully restored and the 2 bathrooms were very modern. The beds were very close. The communal dinner was vegetarian out of the garden & delicious. Fermin told us about their love story. " The Florist & the Architect".
Love
