I have been patiently waiting until it would be safe for Spain and my own home country. But here is the message I have been hoping for. All EU citizens will receive a QR code, if they have at least 1 jab of an approved vaccin. Of course receiving countries could set further requirements, but both Spain and my home country the Netherlands appear clearly on track to vaccinate themselves out of the pandemic over the coming 7 weeks:). I wait with booking and flight entry into Spain (now planned for Madrid, good Renfe train connection to Pamplona and then bus 3 times a day to Roncesvalles) to ensure I enter Spain from a low epidemic region, but it looks that me and so many of my EU fellow pilgrims will be good to go when the holiday season starts!

I am starting from Roncesvalles on June 29, to make it easier and stay within one country, should I still have to rely on a negative PCR test and the 72-hours limit. A second Camino Frances has been on my mind for months through working from home and Zoom and Teams, but now it is really going to happen, and I cannot wait.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

I will watch you from my window. As for me, next year seems much safer.

I don't see anything in the linked Yahoo article to support this statement. Rather (as now noted by Stephan the Painter), the article was dated March 4 and was headlined "Three EU countries now say one COVID vaccine jab enough to protect some people."

I think you are right.

For those who can not read Dutch. The article mentions there is discussion within the EU that 'one jab may be enough to travel', that countries have different opinions about this matter, and this will be further discussed during the coming week.

Anyway. Instead of speculating (and possibly creating confusion), it is probably better to wait untill something is officially decided and published about this matter.

The Dutch article says: zeggen bronnen binnen de EU - what sources inside the EU say. "Sources inside the EU" can be an official from the government of a single EU country who is seconded to Brussels for a few years or a single member of the EU parliament who want to float their ideas about how things ought to be done and to make their position known to a wider public. Or it could be "breaking news". Or an editor who has muddled up things.

I agree: Instead of speculating and possibly creating confusion, let's wait until an official decision has been taken and published.

I completely agree with you: We get our second injection of Pfizer in 7 days from now, but I am sitting very calm in the boat until an official EU policy is published, and we have our conformed EU vaccine passport in hand (phone). I am not going to neither Greece nor Spain until all the rules are set, however much I want to, or what time it takes.

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.
