I found some great, super lightweight slides perfect for albergues at the Dollar Tree Store today!
The pair that I bought in women's size large (40-41) only weighs 4.7 ounces/131 grams! As a comparison, I have some knockoff Birkenstock EVA sandals which weigh 7.5 ounces/212 grams for the pair.
I actually like these Dollar Tree slides better. They are more cushiony, and they don't make an embarrassing sound when I walk in them.
😉

I bought myself a couple of pairs.

I didn't see any specifically for men, but they did have a size XL (42-43) that should fit many men.

They look great for the low weight. I have looked at Dollar General sandals often over the last few years, but the cheapie slides have always been very heavy plastic. I will check out Dollar Tree.🙂

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Have you tried they wet on a slippery surface? If so how did they hold up. Stability (slip/slide) is a huge concern for me.

thanks
Not yet, I just bought them, but they do have a textured sole, and the material that they are made out of isn't slick and smooth.

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
I should also mention that not all Dollar Tree stores have them. After I bought mine I went to another Dollar Tree that was on my way home, and they didn't have them in stock. Fortunately, (I guess 😄) there's no shortage of Dollar Tree stores.

Different product, but I discovered the discount Korean store that has come to Canada: MINISO, and they had the most mAH and more ports in their selection of backup battery packs for mobile devices: https://shop.miniso.ca/products/min...-portable-charger?_pos=3&_sid=448acfad3&_ss=r

I was able to pick up a double USB port 20000 mAH power bank on sale for about $20 before my 2019 camino. With a watch, a phone and an iPad to charge, it was indispensable, allowing me to use only one outlet port in an Albergue and charge 2 devices from the bank while it was charging.

Also, I have seen these shampoo bars in Dollar Tree. Again, it's hit or miss which stores have them. I have used this brand and liked it.

I picked up a pair similar and almost air like weight wise and use them for shower, nighttime bathroom trips and to rest and air my feet end of day. But I do use a also very lightweight Sketchers sandals with nice cushy soles for walking (weather and path condition dependent) in the afternoon.

When I walked the Camino in 2017 I took a pair of flip flops that i bought at Old Navy $1.50. Light weight. Useful for "evening wear" as well as in the albergue. HIGHLY recommend them.
