Hello, I'm wanting to walk from Santiago - Finisterre and then to Muxia and then back to Santiago. How difficult is walking back over.
I haven't managed to meet anyone who has walked back this way normally ended up at Finisterre and bus back to Santiago.

HiJsalt,
Is that 6-7 days, or more or less?
Thanks in advance
Bob
I would say 7 days minimum. 3 days to either Finisterre or Muxía, one day between the two, then 3 days back to Santiago.
I have walked Santiago to Finisterre twice, the first time in 3 days, the second in 4. And I took 4 days walking from Santiago to Muxía.
4 days is much nicer. And both times that I've walked between Finisterre and Muxía I did it in 2 days. I liked the relaxed feel of that walk, and enjoyed my time in Lires.

I have done this stretch twice and also took two days, stopping at Lires for the night. I enjoyed hiking around the beach area and having a drink at the bar on the hillside that overlooks the water.

Thank you for your wonderful knowledge and experience, if time permits after CF I’ll see what Finisterre and Muxia are like in October.

Excellent, I’ll see how I’m doing after the CF! Probably getting too ambitious but I’m enjoying the pre-walk plannping, kit sorting, and re-sorting, and training.
An wonderful resource for relative newbies like me.
Hope I’ll be able to contribute after my journey.
Thanks

My husband and I would like to spend a night in Muxia after walking to Santiago but don’t have time to walk there. Rome to Rio says there’s busses twice daily, but if you go to the Monbus website...
