Finisterre Credential

Down bag (90/10 duvet) of 700 fills with 180 g (6.34 ounces) of filling. Mummy-shaped structure, ideal when you are looking for lightness with great heating performance.

€149,-
Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Does anyone know if a credential for Camino Finisterre can be got in Santiago....and if 1 can where can it be got
Use a standard credencial available on the forum shop, the Santiago pilgrims office and many other places.

You get the appropriate Muxiana and Finnesterrana (if I’ve spelled those correctly it’s purely by chance) at the relevant tourist offices.

You can get a credential from the Pilgrim's Office.
From the Galicia tourist office
I plan on walking to Muxia and I hope on to Finesterre (time permitting) after I finish the VDLP. I never knew there was a credential just for this route. I will pick one up when I go to the pilgrim office to get my Compostela. Thanks for this information. The credential looks pretty cool.

Well, if you don't mind getting a normal, black and white Fisterriana, you can use just a normal pilgrim passport. But if you want this one of a kind, colorful Fisterriana, you probably need a special colorful Muxia-Finisterre credencial from the Galician Tourist Office  🤔

just kidding :) everyone gets a colorful diploma

I have one of these but it looks completely different when I walked in 2013. I used a regular credential and when I walked into town I think I got my Fisterriana at a police station. I can't really remember but I am almost sure a police officer filled it out. It was a while ago. I know they give one in Muxia too. I don't know if I have time to do the whole loop but if i have any time I will do the walk to Muxia as I have already done the other one.

New Original Camino Gear Designed Especially with The Modern Peregrino In Mind!
I got this one in Finisterra municipal albergue 2 weeks ago. I didn't even ask for it, when I registered to stay for the night, the lady wrote my name on it and gave it to me. I remember the same thing happening in Muxia two years ago in a private albergue where I stayed. I don't think you need to go to the tourist office or police to get Fisterriana or Muxiana anymore, seems like albergues take care of it.

I just continued to use the credential that I started with in St Jean PdP. After Santiago I just carried on to Muxia and got a certificate there and then went on to Finisterre and got a certificate from the tourist office, all on the same credential.

To resurrect this: I am going to walk Frances in about 2 months and DW is going to meet me in SdC at the end of my walk. We both shall then continue to Finisterre.
Obviously I would love for her to have her own credential...and within reasons also think that i'll keep the CF credential separate and get me one for CF as well
so... the cute colored ones are still available at Galician Tourist Office in SdC? and where does one get a Finisterre Compostella proper? (I presume in Finisterre, but where?)
Anyone did this recently?

thanks

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

The Galician Tourismo still issue credencial, the Albergue and the Tourismo still issue their certificates. The only thing that has changed is the rest of the world 🙁

On my last Camino in 2019, I walked from SJPDP to Santiago and got my Compostella at the Pilgrim Office. I then walked on to Muxia and received another certificate which was headed "Muxia, Fin Da Ruta Xacobea". This was obtained from the place I stayed. I can not remember the name of the place and the Certificate is all in Spanish so I can not decipher a name from it. I then continued on to Fisterra and obtained another certificate from the information office. It is headed "Concello De Fisterra Acredita" and continues, all in Spanish, to the last words which are "Fin do Camino Jacobeo". I am not sure what these certificates really are, but because I walked at least 100 kilometres before receiving them, I class them as sort of compostellas.
They look good on the wall with the Santiago one anyway.

My husband and I would like to spend a night in Muxia after walking to Santiago but don’t have time to walk there. Rome to Rio says there’s busses twice daily, but if you go to the Monbus website...
