Alsa sale till August 26!

I just got an email from Alsa (we are email friends now that I have bought several tickets online) and they announced a big sale of tickets. I wasn’t planning to buy myy ticket to the start of the Geira till I was sure that I was going to be able to walk it, but Santiago - Braga bus tickets are now 9€ as opposed to the normal 32 or so. So I went for it.

It’s called “Venta Flash” and you will get the sale prices on the regular website when you select the route, date and time.

BTW, I have successfully changed a bus reservation to a day earlier because of a change in flights. It was easy and painless. The Alsa website is really pretty great.

Thank you very much for this information! I went with it. Now it says I can't set up a password on the info because of "incorrect cell number." I guess I didn't put a prefix country code into it?

Laurie thanks for this information. Are you using the website only? Any thoughts on the app? Downloaded app to my cell and haven’t used it.

I got on the website but didn't see anything about a sale. :(
Annie, when you plug in the dates and itinerary you want, the sale price will come up. At least that’s what happened to me.

I’ve attached a screen shot. Good luck — I don’t know if all routes are covered but if it’s on sale you should see it at the point of selecting your bus.

I went to their website and punched in Pamplona to St Jean on Sept 16. It was showing the non-reduced price = 22 euros. More of a concern is that they are only showing the afternoon trip, leaving Pamplona at 14:30 and arriving in St Jean at 16:15. Our last two caminos, we caught a 10:00 am bus and arrived in St Jean at 11:30. Maybe the pilgrim volume does not yet justify a morning departure. I'll keep trying and if one is not available, we'll hire a taxi to take us to St Jean. Bob

Thanks for this info!! I just jumped on the site--was already researching return travel options to get me back to Paris--and booked a 9 euro (plus "fees", 12.10 total) seat for Oct 30. Yes, it takes a few minutes to navigate through, and yes, at one point I did have to stop, reload the page, and start over again. But glad I'm now booked to bus to Madrid, and fly to Paris*, in time to catch my flight back to the U.S. Nov 1. *Easy Jet -- VERY reasonable.
