Hello I am new here. I’ve booked my coastal Camino to start in Porto on October 17th. I appreciate all the contributions so far about Covid testing requirements for US citizens. I hope to contribute once I start my journey. The only thing I can offer now is that I learned that American Delta and United have partnered with a company that offers rapid tests to carry on your trip if needed. You’ll need a smartphone of course and WiFi but it may eliminate the need to find a lab before returning to the USA.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

I’m wondering about this too. I’m leaving for Porto on October 11th and thinking about ordering them.

The company is EMED. The product is made by Abbott. The test name is BinaxNOW COVID-19 Ag Card home test. I'm flying out to LIS on United on October 15th. A six pack is the only way to purchase, a little pricey but I think it's worth it. If I don't use them on this trip I'll use them on another in a few months. Looks like you'll be ahead of me by a few days....have fun!

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

I just returned from the Camino two days ago. I took the rapid tests that I purchased through the United Website with me (you end up having to buy a pack of six--I took a few with me in case I screwed something up) and took the test three days before leaving Spain. It was easy and it worked great. I am not a technological wizard but I managed to do it. You do have to be on a facetime-like call for approximately 20-30 minutes so an e-med physician can walk you through the steps to make sure it is done correctly. So you need to be somewhere with Wi-Fi or have a lot of data roaming.

Thanks that was my plan but I am feeling more confident after reading your post! Which Camino did you do?
