My legs were like jelly by the time I got to town. Stopped at the first place that offered a bed and slept for hours !!!

I remember that feeling. The only thing more difficult than climbing down that hill to Moliniseca on a hot day, was cancelling my Camino for this year. I hope everyone who wants to walk in Spain can do it safely next year. I can't wait to wish everyone I see a Buen Camino again.

there is a nice hotel below this hill accommodations for Albergue and private rooms. Meals and breakfast provided at reasonable price excellent place to relax, there is also a pool and the view from here is exceptional.

I try to stay at La Trucha in town. It is a casa rural with only four guest rooms, very clean and nice and they serve a nice breakfast in the morning. There is a good restaurant bar right behind it.

I would stay to the one you recommend Nathanael if I couldn't get a room at La Trucha.

Hopefully, next year will be a "normal" year for us all to walk again.

OMG - Jim. What a way to make a Camino Memory.

The first time I walked down completely off the road and on the trail I almost lost consciousness at the bottom. My friends revived me, and carried my pack into town for me. It was awful but it obviously wasn't bad as what you encountered.

Because of all the rocks, I'm not sure that they can do very much to improve that part of the Camino. Fortunately the traffic on the road is normally very light and has not been a problem. Of course I stay alert and assume that the driver is not expecting to see a pedestrian on the road but having said that it still feels safer for me.

The beautiful part of it all was that I had two Spanish pilgrim walk me down then another angel Taxi molinaseca luis took me to the hospital and stayed with me as i got stitches

Many say that the Camino Provides. It certainly looks like that happened in you case. I am happy that it worked out for you.

great picture...I hiked it July 10th, 2017 and it was a hot day coming out of Astorga. I hiked to Foncebadon and loved the town...one of my favorites on th entire Camino. I was planning on possibly staying in Manjarin and made the mistake of thinking it was a village and not knowing that it was one hamlet...so I continued on to El Acebo. I'm glad I did...it was fantastic and I stayed in the hostel at the end of town. Very clean and modern with a fantastic pilgrim's meal. This was my 2nd favorite day on the entire Camino after day #1. Hiking the Camino in July offers some advantages (doesn't rain much if at all) but the heat...it can get pretty hot.
