I wouldn't be without my Euroschirm umbrella! I use it mainly for sun protection. Like walking in your own portable bit of shade!
But it's handy in heavy rain too.

The method of fixing? Works fine in wind.
The umbrella generally? A couple of times it turned inside out in a strong wind, but they are very strong. You just turn into the wind, and it flips the right way again.
