Never used that brand but trail runners really shouldn't need a breaking in period. I usually start any long distance walk with a brand fresh pair of Altra Lone Peaks and it's never given me any issues. -

Dr. Scholl’s Float on Air insoles. A flat insole, no arch, with excellent cushioning. I put them in all my shoes. -

They provide better cushioning and heat dissipation which I find helps with blister prevention. Buen Camino. 🚶♂️
