Sounds like a great plan! You’ll be plenty warmed up by the time you reach León. The San Salvador can be walked in 4-6 days (day one will determine if you can do less than five). Also, if you’re pressed for time and physically ready for it, I...

If I were you…I would try something different to begin, and see if it fits your needs for this Camino. There are so, so many to choose from that I would start somewhere new. If you find you don’t like it and you are wanting/needing what feels...

I walked the San Salvador in 2022 and 2023. I never lost cellular coverage. It’s very well marked (and Ender just walked it and made sure of this). Be sure to get his guide (Google it). This is my favorite Camino combination. The San Salvador...

You beat me to it! Huge San Salvador/Primitivo combo fan here. I was just thinking about it again this morning. The most beautiful walk through the mountains - yes, you need to be ready for ups and downs. Someone else's line is, "The...

Forgot about that one - that makes sense!

Intriguing, though I’m not sure how many pilgrims stop in this town? It makes for a very long day from León, or two short days (and I’m not sure where you’d stop and stay before La Robla?). But, it certainly expresses confidence in the growing...

Maybe try it again after you get to Spain? I kind of recall getting something similar when I downloaded it a few years ago.

I have fortunately never had to use it, but my understanding is AlertCops will get you directly to an English-speaking officer, whereas 112 would not - this would be critical in a time of need. Buen Camino, and I hope this is all just over-planning!
