Donkeys can be a nightmare - but what about goats??

Lol I tried goat eons ago but decided I really like my goats alive. Your dog is a sweetheart and quirkly delightful (and certainly is displaying goat-ish behavior).

    A favorite albergue on CF?

Definitely a winner, just noted. Do you need reservations I wonder?

Camino Frances is done, but I know sometime I will be back, but what should be next?

My next stroll will be in Japan, many stunning walks, history, architecture, etc. Fun to think of all of your options either way :)

Donkeys can be a nightmare - but what about goats??

I love your tongue-in-cheek humor 😄 I also love goats, never had one, never had one as a friend (or enemy...though a certain goose comes to mind), but they are hands down one of the most comically photogenic animal on the planet! I for one am in favor of you renting a goat from a small farm...

Writing a Camino Book? Can I read it?

Part of why I have chosen to finally come this year is for my book " A Lifetime of Journeys." It is a compilation of first person accounts on enduring COVID-19. All we hear about are heavily debated topics such as politics, science, health care, economics, etc., and all justifiably important...

    Prescriptions, Spain vs US

It is, nerve damage from cancer some years ago. It is unlikely I could do the camino without the nerve pain mitigation.

    Prescriptions, Spain vs US

Thanks for bringing up a topic I hadn't thought of. I use a pain medication as needed and my doctor will refill before I leave, but as it is considered at least in the US, a controlled substance I wonder what problems I'm going to run into? Any advice from anyone? I'll bring a letter for sure...

    Junk on the Trail!!

I wonder if anyone has attempted to climb up and get a selfie? Our community is always fishing people out of strange (but mostly dangerous) places :)

    COVID God Bless Moderators

God Bless whoever shut down comments on the recent post "Good news possibly coming from Spain!" Absolutely no disrespect to anyone who posted or wanted to post, but I immediately started to hyperventilate as the politics started unfolding in that thread. I totally appreciate Covid discussions...

COVID New Covid Requirements for US pilgrims Feb 1 2022

Thank you, good to know. After reading your post, a very delayed lightbulb came on and I realized I'm first landing in Lisbon then a connecting flight to Bilbao, then after a few days in the Barcelona area, up to SJPD to turn around and walk back into Spain. I now have almost four entry points...

Anything wrong with wanting to walk alone?

Well put. One of the first books I read was " Grandma's on the Camino" I was taken with her conversation with her husband (wishing mine would go similarly but knowing it wouldn't), her three-part writing style to each chapter, and her commitment to walking alone. She was in her late 70s I...

Except the rosary would give the off ramp back to not-scary in case you met someone you actually would like to get know 🤭
