  • hi, I am walking from Lisbon to Santiago in early may this year, I am unsure which route will be the most interesting and have been following your "posts" along the coast to fatima. I understand you are using a GPS app Navii, do you still use this? Or do you recommend another? To give me an idea of the route, is it mainly on small country lanes, or tracks or roads.

I do not have a special GPS app. I have not done the Caminho do Mar. Should I start making soon, but in days not followed.
I'll follow the blue and yellow arrows. My mobile phone operator has a free app (Meodrive) that lets me know where I am.
Very good photos posted for the portuguese interior ,gives me a good idea of the alberges and things I should see . Many thanks James

Ah! Forgive an old confused man, JH2! The Porto to SdC route I walked is often called the 'interior' as opposed to the coastal route :) Hope you have a super trip. I'm just thinking about the primitivo.... Buen camino, amigo!
