  • Talk about delays... as you can see I don’t log on much either. I am going alone. I see that you went in apr/may - was it cold, did you use this service or did you guys just go on your own ?

We did it on our own. Carried everything that we took on the plane. No services except to use booking.com as trail was crowded and finding room for three became a challenge. We had several cold days (27 deg f) and some cold nights be we didn’t carry sleeping bags. Just layered up when we had to.

One suggestion: carry a small bottle of liquid soap — multi purpose type you can use as wash yourself, your hair, and your clothes with. You can refill along the way, but may places either run out or don’t supply. I had to get something after first day.
Hey Bama Geezer, I'm so happy to hear you completed El Camino de Frances! I also am somewhat "seasoned" and planning on walking the Camino in June 2019. I would really appreciate hearing all about your experience.

Sorry for delay—don’t log on much. Would be glad to help. Are you going alone? We ,Three old men, completed the entire CF and Fin/Muxía in 38 days of hiking. We stop for 5 one stopped in Major cities.
