Using a larger Backpack, just not filling it up. Thoughts?

Breaking in a new backpack can be a hassle. If you have one that works for you, it may be better to stick with your original, especially if the weight difference between the two is negligible.

Is it okay to want to walk the Frances alone?

I took the train from Paris to St Jean PDP and felt terrified all along the way, thinking Wtf every second.

Is it okay to want to walk the Frances alone?

Throughout your life and your son's, there will be times when you are apart. It doesn't matter whether it's three weeks or three minutes. Things happen that you cannot control. Provided that you are happy that your wife can manage him without you and that you are not taking risks doing the...

Is it okay to want to walk the Frances alone?

On the camino frances, there is a party atmosphere for the first week down to Pamplona and La Rioja. Thereafter it becomes quieter especially on the meseta between Burgos and Leon. Camino Del Norte, flight suggestions and albergues

Better to avoid a second country (in this instance France) due to differing Covid regulations. Many Americans fly to Oporto in Portugal and overland or fly to the Basque country. The rail network in the North of Spain is Amtrak standard (tortuously slow). Bus is more frequent and flexible.

    My pet-peeve: Selfies

I apologise for the phlegm in the middle. The wonderful Spanish have never hear of dairy intolerance. It was wonderful to taste but hard on the gut. Still, the ancient infrastructure on the camino frances that they maintain is sans pareil as far as I know and it was one of the most pleasurable...

    My pet-peeve: Selfies

This was Pamplona (or Burgos or Leon) last month. Just to cheer you up. Agree with your comments.

Mobile phone pouch for backpack straps

I am planning to walk the Camino in the Autumn of 2021. I look forward to meeting similar individuals from a parallel universe.
