Yes, I agree Dave does a nice guide for the GR 65. I especially enjoyed his podcasts on that route as well. I am looking forward to taking the shortcuts around the Saint-Géry to Vers section in the Célé Valley.
A special thank you to Dave Whitson for his shortcuts on the GR 65. We had a beautiful day walking by the river Lot into Cahors instead of the regular route. It takes a lot of work to create guidebooks and I am grateful for all who do this for us.
You may already know that this route will take you through some of the least populated areas of France. So my suggestion would be to ask ahead, as Roland49 just mentioned, at the auberges or gîtes where you stay. By that I mean, where to dine on...
Everyone will have their own opinions on this, and it's always interesting to read them. You will also hear and see many moving stories unfolding as you walk, if your eyes and heart are open to them.
