Are you starting your walk from Pamplona or heading for SJPDP or Roncesvalles? The Roncesvalles albergue and the SJPDP pilgrim office have both posted warnings about cold weather and snow on high ground today and tomorrow. Recommending that people walk the Valcarlos route.
Probably best to take the train to SJPDP. From there you can take one bus per day to Roncesvalles - run by ALSA and leaves at 13:45. Or you can book a ride with Express Bourricot.

In Llanberis in north Wales there is (or was) an outdoor shop run by a Kiwi. He had a small basket of metal spikes which was labelled "tint pigs"....
An article on a Leon website this morning. An interview with David Vidal - the creator of La Casa de los Dioses. David is back there for a few days as part of a longer journey.

Here in the UK we often read stories of people contacting the emergency services via the 999 phone service for very trivial reasons. I sometimes wonder about some of the callouts that the Burguete bomberos respond to on the Route Napoleon. Whether the people calling for help are genuinely...
I am having trouble understanding your motivation for walking the Caminos in particular if you feel that (a) any long walk can be a source of spiritual gain (a position which I totally accept and agree with) and (b) you feel a very strong wish for solitude. On the main Camino routes real...
September 2016. In Beilari in SJPDP the night before beginning the Camino Frances for the third time. An older English gentleman in his 70s at the dinner table expressed some doubts about his fitness and decided to walk via Valcarlos with the option of stopping there if it all proved too hard...
My French and Spanish are minimal but I think the core meaning is fairly clear. For those who have even less linguistic ability than me then Google Translate and a phone camera should make it even clearer. Something I have done a number of times with totally incomprehensible (to me) signs and...
An article today on a local news website noting that the municipal albergue in Najera is likely to remain closed until the end of the month while renovation work is done. Particularly on showers and the kitchen. A temporary albergue with floor mats for about 20 people has been set up in the...
The Burguete bomberos had another busy day yesterday. Picking up two pilgrims with symptoms of hypothermia and exhaustion near the Lepoeder pass and another near the Croix de Thibault who was taken to the Burguete medical centre...
The thread started with questions specifically about terms in Spanish which does make such a distinction. As do a number of other languages such as French and German.
@Robo was at the premiere and posted about it in this thread: https://www.caminodesantiago.me/community/threads/new-camino-movie-the-way-my-way-world-premiere.86245/#post-1245532
