We have mostly flat walking trails around us, and we found out that the difficult part of the Camino is the hills. But after 2 or 3 days, we were "trained on the job" and the rest was easier going.

I recommend that you try to do some up and down hills in your training.
    Hi,

Where are you located? I'm originally from the Pittsburgh area. My wife and I did the Frances in 2015 and loved it.

For training we did 2 walks before we left, about 5 miles each. Our schedules made it hard for us to do more.

Had we been able to train more, it wouldn't really have helped much.
