Myself and my husband bought a cheap blanket (for me) and a sleeping bag (for him) in a cheap shop along the way after a particularly cold night on the Frances in October 2016. So I wouldn't worry just bring a liner to start with, and pick up what you need when you need it, supporting local...
We are so sad to hear that Nely has had to close her Albergue in Almería. Myself and my husband had the pleasure of staying with her at the start of our Camino Mozarabe last October. I have never met a more welcoming hostess. As well as escorting us through the city the next morning she was...
We are here right now and we have free WiFi. There are only 3 of us and the hospitalero. I somehow doubt it woukd ever be full. Views from up here make the climb worthwhile.
In Sept 2014 we flew into Bordeaux stayed overnight and got a train to the top of the Medoc peninsula ( verdun sur mer) and walked the Voie littorale to Bayonne ending at the Cathedral. Took about 10 days.

Oh Lord. Myself and hubby start in Guadix on the Mozarabe on Monday. Only doing 3 days as far as Granada though due to family commitments. We've never walked this time of year before as its usually October when we take hols. Early starts methinks.
Does anyone know if the route from Almeria to Granada has changed in recent years ? On my wall map of Camino Routes the town of Órgiva is on the route from Almeria but the stages listed on the Camino Mozarabe website don’t mention it. As we have been offered free accommodation there for a night...
Having just completed the Camino Mozarabe in October, I can confirm we had few problems communicating our needs despite only having a few words / stock phrases. Once we made the effort people went out of their way to help us. We had worried a bit as we had read somewhere that this Camino...
I had thought I would never be able to get 6 weeks off work to do the French Camino from stjdp so was planning on doing it in 2 week chunks over a few years. Then my husbands employer gave him the chance of a 6 week break which he jumped at. I used his 60th burthday as an excuse and told my...
We ( my husband and myself) have just restarted our Camino Mozarabe also. We finished in Cordoba in October 2019. We had to skip the stage from Cordoba to Cerro Muriano as our flights were changed. So flew into Malaga yesterday, got train to Cordoba and taxi to Cerro Muriano. Stayed in Bar X and...
