Rather than a solar charger i would take a power bank. They're small, cheap, and you can leave it charging without worrying about losing an expensive phone and then charge your phone from the power bank.
I haven't had to sleep in a doorway but I arrived late to o'cebreiro and had to walk an extra 10km+ to find somewhere to sleep putting the total for the day at 40km+
I took a fleece jacket with me in July/August and questioned why I brought it all the way until I reached Galicia where it was cold, windy, and raining. When I go again I plan to take a similar fleece jacket.
I always took mine inside with me (in my hands and not on my back) but most of the time it was only to buy something and then sit outside. I never left it outside and unattended anywhere.
